Taekwondo in Schools

Do you want Taekwondo taught at your school? We have a team of dedicated instructors who would love to come to your school to teach. All of our instructors have a current First Aid and CPR qualification as well as a current Working with Children Check as well as years of experience teaching and training in Taekwondo.
Each instructor brings a differnt mix of experience with most having other sporting and coaching expertise. The coach running a large number of our programs is a qualified personal trainer with a certificates III and IV in Fitness as well as a Level 2 First Aid qualification.

We have a range of programs and most of what we teach is modular, so if you have a specific need we can tailor a program for it.

Self Defence

Our self defence program for schools is tailored for children and teens of school age, because we recognise that every person is different and that each person will run into a different set of situations that they have to protect themselves.

The aim of our program is a risk and injury minimisation approach. We promote learning towards avoiding dangerous situations and if they can't be avoided; controlling dangerous situations.

The other important part of all our self defence and protection training, is the emphasis on support networks available to everyone, in particular school age children and teens, and how to effectively use this network to not only be safe, but feel safe.

We offer 2 standard formats for our self defence program:

An intensive seminar: the seminar goes through the important points in how to develop small habits to make yourself safer. It is hands on and we try to get as many students contributing and getting up and demonstrating what they've learnt with us.

An ongoing set of sessions: we build on the principles of self defence over the sessions and we delve deeper into threat perception, verbal self defence, danger interruption, etc.

Fitness

Our fitness program is designed to get people moving, and loving it! We make fitness fun, while educating about health and exercise. Our trainer has their certificate III and IV in fitness, so you can be assured our training is going to safe and effective. We can also offer advice about how to look at nutritional information and how it applies to their health.

We offer a flexible delivery for our fitness program, as it can comfortably fit in a 30 minute to a 2 hour session.

 

Taekwondo

Taekwondo is a multifaceted sport and art that can be a lot of different things to different people. We incorporate parts of both our self defence and fitness programs into our Taekwondo sessions, as well as a range of other activities.

Taekwondo is often said to encourage discipline and boost concentration, and we have seen, over the years of running the program, students transform their behaviour, demeanour and their self perception astoundingly.

We have found our program to boost the confidence of students particularly as they become higher ranked, they take on assistant leadership roles, and as they grow into young adults some take on even stronger leadership roles.
