Welcome to Tigers Taekwondo

Taekwondo has a long association at the Macleod YMCA dating back to 1992, this association has evolved into the formation in 1999 of the Tigers Taekwondo Dojang under the leadership of Head Instructor 5th Dan Tim Huggins.
 
Tigers Taekwondo fully embraces the Strong People, Strong Families and Strong Communities philosophy of the YMCA; this is demonstrated by the many families that train together at our club.
 
Tigers Taekwondo is proud of its mentoring environment where our senior students, many who are teenagers assist in instructing, which in turn provides a strong role model to our very young students.
 
We provide to all that train with us a pathway to confidence, fitness, better health and strategies to help cope with the pressures and situations that we will encounter in today’s complex world.

2012 Victorian Open Cup

Applications for the 2012 Victorian Open Cup close this Friday 18th May with late application returned to sender.

Color Belt Grading Saturday March 24

A notice to all students the next color belt grading will be Saturday March 24 2012 in the YMCA DANCE STUDIO

Yellow belt at 11:00am, Grading to Blue 12:30pm, Grading to Red 1:30pm

You are only allowed to grade with the permission of your Instructor.

2012 Victorian Open Cup

On the 10th June 2012 The Victorian Open Cup Poomsae competition will be held at the Darebin Community Sports Stadium in Reservoir.
This competition is being organised by TVI’s Poomsae Presenters Robert Schembri, Julius Buria and Russell Wood. Full information will be released in the near future so please mark the date down in your diary.
